Pathways beyond Club

Athletes have the opportunity to play beyond club and try out for Interbranch teams, representing their union and playing against other unions - (TRU, SWRU, NRU, EORU). 

TRU is where most Titans will participate. This program is open to athletes born in 2007-2012. Both 7s and 15s Click the link below for details on the 2026 TRU tryouts. 

For aspiring rugby players in Ontario, the Ontario Blues Development Academy (OBDA) and Ontario Blues Combine Series are key to unlocking opportunities for growth, development, and national recognition. Structured in three distinct phases, this pathway provides athletes with the tools and exposure needed to elevate their rugby game and potentially represent the Ontario Blues. Open to athletes born in 2007-2012

The Ontario Blues starts with a U19 team, competing against other provinces. Beyond U19, senior teams will compete in inter-provincial and regional competitions. These provincial programs will serve as a critical step in continuing to build a stronger player development pipeline, offer higher levels of play and creating opportunities for Ontario athletes to advance to national teams, professional leagues and other performance pathways.  

Selection for these teams comes from the Interbranch teams and OBDA
